Product Description

The BR-17M series 1700°C muffle furnace is engineered for research and production applications requiring sustained high-temperature performance beyond the reach of SiC-element equipment. Fitted with molybdenum disilicide (MoSi₂) heating elements and operating up to a maximum temperature of 1700°C (recommended working temperature 1600°C), this high-temperature chamber furnace is the preferred choice for sintering advanced technical ceramics, processing refractory oxides, and conducting high-temperature materials research.

MoSi₂ elements operate in air without a protective atmosphere, forming a self-healing SiO₂ passivation layer that resists oxidation degradation — a key advantage for long-cycle sintering operations. Combined with polycrystalline mullite fiber insulation and a reinforced furnace structure, the BR-17M delivers consistent thermal performance across extended operating periods.

Product Highlights

MoSi₂ Heating Elements Molybdenum disilicide elements provide stable, reliable heating to 1700°C in air atmosphere. The self-passivating oxide layer ensures long element service life even under continuous duty at high temperatures — significantly reducing maintenance requirements compared to alternative element types at this temperature range.

B-Type Thermocouple Measurement B-type (platinum-rhodium 6%/30%) thermocouple provides accurate, stable temperature measurement throughout the 1600–1700°C operating range, where other thermocouple types lose accuracy or fail.

Robust Insulation Structure High-density polycrystalline mullite fiber lining with 120–250 mm total thickness ensures minimal heat loss and rapid recovery after door opening, maintaining process consistency during batch loading.

Reinforced Furnace Roof: A structurally engineered furnace roof withstands the mechanical stresses of continuous high-temperature operation, preventing sagging or collapse during long sintering cycles.

50-Segment Programmable Control Full ramp-soak-cool profile programming with PID auto-tuning and overheat alarm, enabling precise replication of complex sintering curves.
