1800°C Molybdenum Disilicide Muffle Furnace Delivered to a Ceramic Materials Research Institute in Turkey

Customer Background

A materials research institute in Turkey was looking for a high-temperature laboratory furnace for ceramic material development and sintering experiments. Their existing equipment could not consistently reach temperatures above 1700°C, which limited several ongoing research projects involving advanced oxide ceramics.

The customer required a reliable furnace capable of stable operation at very high temperatures while maintaining good temperature uniformity inside the chamber.

Customer Requirements

The research team provided several key requirements:

Maximum temperature of 1800°C

Suitable for laboratory-scale ceramic sintering

Stable heating performance during long holding periods

Programmable temperature control

Compact structure suitable for installation in an existing laboratory

The customer also emphasized the importance of low maintenance and reliable long-term operation.

Brother Furnace Solution

After reviewing the application details, Brother Furnace recommended a 1800°C muffle furnace equipped with molybdenum disilicide (MoSi₂) heating elements.

The selected furnace offers:

Maximum operating temperature of 1800°C

High-quality alumina fiber insulation

Multi-step programmable PID temperature controller

Excellent temperature stability for research applications

Energy-efficient chamber design

Throughout the communication process, the Brother Furnace engineering team worked closely with the customer to confirm chamber dimensions, power requirements, and installation conditions before production began.

Production and Delivery

The furnace was manufactured, tested, and inspected according to the agreed specifications.

Before shipment, a full temperature-rise test was conducted to verify heating performance and controller accuracy. Photos and testing records were shared with the customer for confirmation.

The equipment was then packed in a reinforced wooden crate and shipped by sea freight to Turkey. The packaging was designed to protect the furnace during international transportation and ensure safe arrival at the customer’s facility.

Project Result

After installation, the customer successfully integrated the furnace into their ceramic materials laboratory. The equipment achieved the required sintering temperatures and provided stable performance during experimental runs.

The project demonstrated how a properly configured high-temperature furnace can support advanced materials research while maintaining reliable operation. Brother Furnace remains committed to providing customized laboratory heating solutions for research institutes and industrial laboratories worldwide. For high-temperature furnace requirements, our team is always ready to help.
